If you’re heading Down South or already hanging round that way there are so many great things to do to have fun and boost your health at the same time. Having grown up here in Margaret River I’d love to share a few of my personal faves that will have you recharged and glowing in no time!

  • Get Shopping

If you are wanting to stock up on goodness two of my favourite places to do so are Merchant & Maker in Dunsborough and The Farmers Markets in Margaret River.

Merchant & Maker stock all the yummiest things with a strong focus on local produce - from tea to kombucha and CoYo to cold pressed juice. It’s uber hip but still very friendly, I always feel healthier (and a little bit cooler) for just having visited!

The Margaret River Farmers Markets are on from 8am - 12pm every single Saturday year round and are close to town with their amazing farm fresh produce. They have all the bases covered with fruits & vegetables, local organic meats, cheeses, baked goods and local gourmet delights. It’s also a great place to meet like minded people - win!

  • Get Juicey

If you’re looking for a reset and recharge local girls Livity Margaret River offer incredibly delicious and nutritious cold pressed juice made with love right here in Margaret River. They have done all the hard work for you, all you need to do is to choose between a one day or three day cleanse and they will provide you with 6 amazing blends including fresh fruit and vegetable juices, a smoothie and nut milk, a naturopathic blended detox tea and even a tea infuser! Your mini Down South break will leave you refreshed and squeaky clean. Livity Signature Cleanses are available for collection in Margaret River and Dunsborough.

  • Get Active

There are so many body loving things to do Down South! If you want to get amongst the great outdoors the region boasts some of the worlds best beaches. Also worth checking out the Cape to Cape track for hiking, the spectacular Boranup Forrest or having a stroll on the picturesque Busselton Jetty.

If you don’t mind the indoors you can check out a nurturing class at Yoga Child, a Barre or pilates session at Art of Motion, or for something completely different try a DJ + Yogo combo - yep you read that right! Fluid Flow host this awesome combo known as Yoga Beats where you can get bendy to awesome music played by a live DJ - too cool!!

  • Get Pampered

Let’s face it, we’re worth it, so if you can carve out a little time to indulge in pampering check out the spa packages at Hanu Day Spa. Set in a private and earthy location the spa is a small, boutique retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. All the day spa packages are amazing and include nourishing refreshments. My personal favourite is the Balinese Boreh - be prepared to be completely and utterly relaxed. Check yourself into the most stunning place which has been designed for you to revitalise and restore your body and mind at Losari Luxury Wellness Retreat.

  • Get Inspired

Having fun is a very important part of being healthy and the region hosts many incredible cultural events and festivals throughout the year including the Arts, Gourmet Escape (seriously yummy), concerts and collaborations like Emergence Creative.

So there you have all the inside info on how to get the most from your time Down South. Enjoy and keep #livingthegreen!
