Making the decision to collaborate with an influencer or complimentary business can be an incredible leap forward for your healthy biz, but it can also be the beginning of a lot of headaches. So you have a few ideas but you’re unsure if it’s the right decision? Here’s how to know if an influencer is the right fit for your business.

Does the brand/person have any conflict with your offering? Ensure they do not compete with your business.

Does their brand share the same core values and principles as you? Are they on the same wave length?

Is their public profile clear of controversy or negative feedback?

Is their brand image/look & feel similar enough to yours that you could share content seamlessly on each other’s profiles?

Do they share the same audience that you are trying to target?

Can they provide a fair value exchange throughout the duration of the agreement that both parties benefit from the collaboration?

Will collaborating with this brand/person provide additional value that they seek to your customers?

Is their audience big enough to have an impact on your business? Do they have a high engagement rate?

Is this a good time for both parties to collaborate? Ensure that there are no conflicts with either parties schedule that could impact effectiveness of the collaboration.

Has a collaboration agreement, outlining the responsibilities and expectations of both parties been written and agreed upon?

Collaborations are a brilliant way to drive new and exciting business to your brand while providing additional value to your existing customers and opening up doors to profitable business connections. Good luck collaborator scouting!
