Badde Manors, Glebe

In a city as large as Sydney, it’s quite hard to find a homely, handmade menu. Badde Manors makes their desserts according to an old family recipe. OM Vegan Kitchen serves drinks that incorporate fresh, exotic flavours from South Asia. Their hot drinks are particularly popular because they are made from spices and natural sweeteners with no refined sugar. Their most popular refreshments are chai, tumeric and matcha lattes that are not only good for you but extremely Instagram-worthy! It’s not every day you get to try Australian bush fruit and minimal-intervention wine! Paperbark has a menu that excites the senses with its creative use of native Australian produce. They use freshly harvested ingredients carefully selected from the Carriageworks Organic Farmers Markets every Saturday morning. Paperbark have recently showcased vegetables cooked in lemon aspen which is an Australian bush fruit from the outback. Pair this with a glass of their tangerine dream wine and your Saturday night is sorted!

oFarm, Warringah Mall

oFarm turns a tall green into a long black! Their raw coffees have been a massive hit along with their cashew chai. They have a range of leafy lattes and a baked goods menu to match. oFarm’s specialty is their ability to get creative with their food and step outside the vegan safety net of food. They have been praised by PETA for serving eggplant ‘bacon’ and an array of organic vegetable concoctions! They also have a neighbouring shop where you can buy organic produce, just incase you get inspired to cook your own version of their vegan eats from the cafe!

Herb n Sprout Co, Maroubra

In a place like Sydney where people snarl at instant coffee, a well-made cup of joe is a necessity! Herb n Sprout Co serves up boutique coffee and other hot elixirs. Their lavender lattes are made from lavender syrup and agave, whilst their pink velvet latte is made from a mixture of beetroot and cinnamon. If you’re looking for more plants-to-plate options then you should try their vegan coconut french toast!

Kindness Cafe, Darlinghurst

Mocktails anyone? Kindness Cafe has everything you need for a healthy night out! Their specialty drinks include lemon-blueberry colada and non-alcoholic sangria. If you are feeling in a boozy mood then the cafe also offers a BYO option! With a $2 corkage fee, you can still have a healthy night if you bring your own organic wine. Kindness Cafe not only provides the green goods for a drinks night, but they also have an amazing vegan menu to match! They serve a range of meat-free curries, stir fries and salads. If you’re not heading there on a night out, make sure you try their Thai ice tea for breakfast, it’s a morning neccesi-tea!
