First up, briefly tell us a bit about yourself and what you do!

I’m Rayne, I moonlight as a TV and radio presenter, emcee, and run my website over at at RayneEmbley.com.au soon to be relaunched as RAYNE ELLA. I’m passionate about having a voice and sharing my experiences through social media in the hope to make a difference and inspire other business women in all facets of their life. Support and encouragement go a long way.

What’s your morning routine to set you up for a great day?

I set my alarm for between 5am and 5.30am depending on what time I get to bed. I’ll get up, meditate and then get stuck into my writing. The kids are always up be 6.30 so we get ready for school, I sip on my Bulletproof coffee and we run out the door! Getting up early gives me a head start for the day. It means I can make time to exercise during my work day.

Describe a typical day of eating for you.

Always my Bulletproof coffee in the morning (recipe on my blog). Then after school drop it’s a gluten free piece of toast with a fried egg and kimchi. I’m obsessed with the thai green goodness co kimchi at the moment. Delish!! I usually pick through lunch. Leftovers or tuna and avocado wrap. Then I’ll have afternoon tea with the kids. They love hummus, carrots, cheese and crackers and for dinner we mix it up. My daughter is gluten free so we take that into account at every meal but usually its something simple. Meat, salmon, roast etc. We LOVE Mexican!

What are your non-negotiables for looking and feeling your best?

Meditation is a big one for me and has such a huge impact on how I feel. I don’t wear a lot of makeup most days but I do love a good skin care regime. Kim Tran at La Belle Peau keeps a good eye on my skin and she changes up my products as to what she thinks my skin needs. At the moment I’m using a lot of Ultraceuticals.

Do you take any supplements, vitamins or special wellness elixirs? If so, we’d love to know!

Yes! I live off a supplement called Vitality and have done for years. It oxygenates your blood and works on your mitochondria so it’s not just like taking a supplement and crossing your fingers. It gives me sustained energy, helps me focus and I sleep really well. I also take Anxiolift. It’s a natural supplement that treats mild anxiety. I’m not an outwardly anxious person but anxiety manifests in my body and I’ve had a few minor heart issues in the past. This seems to keep it all at bay. It’s a great over the counter natural supplement.

Do you have an evening wind-down ritual?

My friend Suzy gave me a Doterra diffuser and I love it!!! I have it on during the day with something uplifting and switch it to lavender oil at night.

What are your top 3 wellness non-negotiables.

Drink lots of water. Meditate. Sweat. Although I haven’t been doing enough of that lately. After this prompt it’s back on my radar!

Best place to get a green juice or smoothie in your city?

Nuut Nutrition Bar in Swanbourne. I love it there.

Favourite farmers market or healthy place to shop.

Bunbury Farmers Markets!!!!!!! It’s my absolute obsession!!!!!! This place is insane. It’s like the Ikea of food. So good.

What’s your fitness routine & favourite way to get sweaty and where’s your go-to?

When ever I possibly can!! My favourite time to exercise is first thing in the morning. As I’m a single mum and my kids are young, I can’t leave them to go have a box just yet. I’ve been using Rachel Finch’s program, Body By Finch. It’s 20 minutes and I can do it at any time of the day. I try to get stuck into it straight after school drop, but if not then I’ll use it as a lunch break. She’s got fantastic recipes on there too.

If you could only wear one brand of activewear for the rest of your life it would be…

PE Nation. Predictable I know, but they are just so good! The fit, the colourways and they are always on trend.

What’s the one beauty or wellness treatment you can’t live without? And your favourite place to have it done?

I’m so spoilt to see Kim Tran At La Belle Peau. I don’t have a faviourite treatment as I never know what Kim’s going to do until I get there and she looks at my skin. So I guess then my favourite treatment would be one that my skin needs and one that works!

Are you into any woo-woo wellness trends? (think crystals, sageing, tarot cards etc)

All of the above. I have had tarot cards since I was 15. I sage my house once a year and the kids and I love collecting crystals. I’m also a Reiki practitioner. I don’t consider that a wellness trend, it’s a way of living, healing and being.

You’ve got a big event in 7 days time that you need to look incredible for. What’s your plan of attack to look & feel your absolute best?

Hahaha I’m sitting here with a big event tomorrow and I’m thinking I should have started running again a week ago and maybe should have gone easy on the pasta and chocolate last night. Eek!! Once I have my hair and makeup booked I’m fine!! Not much can go wrong or not be covered up when the professionals are called in.

If you could have the ultimate day of wellness & happiness in Perth what would it involve and where would you go?

I would head to Crown for sure!

What’s your dream wellness vacay?

One that incorporates yoga, meditation, exercise, clean eating and a champagne at the end of the day…

And lastly… do you have any top secret tips you use to keep looking / feeling great?

Go easy on yourself!! Take time out, even if it’s just for 10 minutes. Listen to your body and make sure you don’t take life too seriously. Have FUN!!!
