First up, briefly tell us a bit about yourself and what you do!

I am a full time fashion, travel and beauty blogger, for Inspiring Wit.

What time do you wake up most days and how many hours of sleep do you aim for?

Around 7- 7:30 am at the moment but it depends how late I’ve been up working the night before. I try to be in bed by 11pm as much as I can. I aim for six hours, but have always had some trouble sleeping.

What’s your morning routine to set you up for a great day?

First thing I am usually thinking about breakfast! It definitely motivates me to get up, being the best meal of the day! After eating I do my morning skin care routine before I head into my office and answer emails before getting stuck into my to-do list.

Describe a typical day of eating for you.

For breakfast I start with hot water with lemon and either have gluten free granola (I bake it all time to make sure I have some on hand!) with almond or coconut yoghurt, a scoop of the Beauty Chef Glow Powder and a few fresh berries or scrambled eggs with avocado and a piece of rye toast. I generally have one coffee a day, and am in love with the Almond Milk from Milk Lab! Lunch is a salad as often as I can get my partner to agree to eat it or some sort of leftovers. For dinner if I am cooking I make steamed veggies and poached chicken or a zucchini noodle pasta. If my partner is cooking it can be anything- he is a good cook (but is more into eating meat than veggies so I always have to sneak them in!).

Tell us about your daily beauty routine! What are your non-negotiables for looking and feeling your best?

I try not to wear makeup unless I have an event or photo shoot, so most days I have a clean face. I cleanse my face with a foaming cleanser (Kora Organics is my favourite), spritz with a facial mist (the Kora Organics or Jurlique ones are my favourites) and do my gua sha facial routine. Then apply a bit of moisturiser. Lately I’ve been using La Mer or Sodashi. I love facial scrubs and clay masks too and I try to use them twice a week. If I’m going outside at all I also use a facial SPF. That is something I can’t skip!

Each night I double cleanse- first with an oil cleanser (my favourite is from Eve Lom), then cleanse with a foaming cleanser (again my favourite is by Kora Organics). After that I spritz on a facial mist, then serum or facial oil – I love the La Mer Treatment Lotion, SK-II Facial Treatment Essence or an oil from Rohr Remedy. I love the La Mer moisturisers and eye creams. Applying the eye cream is a night time ritual that gets me ready to sleep. I sometimes repeat my gua sha facial at night too.

Do you take any supplements, vitamins or special wellness elixirs? If so, we’d love to know!

I use the Beauty Chef Glow Powder and Welle Co Super Elixir daily. I just ran out of both and instantly got a cold. They definitively help my body process food and keep me energised.

Do you have an evening wind-down ritual?

After my beauty routine, I drink a camomile and lavender tea that I blend from the flowers and read before bed. Reading has been helping me fall asleep better this year; it takes my mind off of my work and lets my brain escape into whatever I am reading. These tend to be novels or biographies. Nothing scary! If I am feeling too energetic, a quick yoga flow generally helps me to relax.

What are your top 3 wellness non-negotiables?

Lots of clean water, vegetables and yoga.

Your absolute favourite healthy cafe in Perth is?

Hmm, my favourite smoothie bowls in Perth are at La Buda in North Beach. In Adelaide I love visiting Peter Rabbit, the food is healthy, the garden and café is super cute (styled like Mr McGregor’s garden) and you can pat bunnies. What is not to love?!

Best place to get a green juice or smoothie in your city?

I like La Buda in North Beach, or else I make them at home.

Favourite farmers market or healthy place to shop?

We go to the Kyilla Farmer’s Markets on Saturday mornings and pick up or fruit and veg.

What’s your fitness routine & favourite way to get sweaty and where’s your go-to?

I recently signed up to a gym, where I do cardio and then my own HIIT workouts (I have them all written out in my workout notebook which I literally carry around the gym with me like a nerd) and I do a bit of yoga at home. Before that I was doing HIIT and daily yoga at home.

If you could only wear one brand of activewear for the rest of your life it would be…

Lululemon. Easily!

What’s the one beauty or wellness treatment you can’t live without? And your favourite place to have it done?

Eek! I am not so good with appointments (I only get my hair done once a year!) so I avoid them at all costs. I just get nervous and feel uncomfortable.

What beauty treatment/ wellbeing activity would you love to try but haven’t got around to yet?

None, again, I avoid them.

Are you into any woo-woo wellness trends? (think crystals, sageing, tarot cards etc)

I do have some crystals around my house, but nothing too full on.

You’ve got a big event in 7 days time that you need to look incredible for. What’s your plan of attack to look & feel your absolute best?

Honestly, I am pretty low key. I try to remember to shave my legs and wash my hair the day before but other than that, I stick to my normal routine.

If you could have the ultimate day of wellness & happiness in Perth, what would it involve and where would you go?

I don’t know actually, a massage would be about as ambitious as I’d get, followed by a nice light lunch. A long while ago I did this at Como Shambhala, following with a wellness lunch at Post. That was amazing! I just got a push bike so am excited to get riding more often this summer too.

What’s your dream wellness vacay?

Hmm, I had a massage in Langkawi at the Andaman Resort once, which was amazing, I’d love to do that again!

And lastly… do you have any top secret tips you use to keep looking / feeling great?

When I am happy, you can tell I am looking and feeling the best I can. Listening to music and hanging out with people that make me laugh is the best medicine!
