While you are there it is well worth visiting the local cafes that showcase the love of lifestyle and health the area is so well known for. Here’s the low down on our top 10 eateries that showcase the deliciousness of the area with their healthy bites – all made with love;

Margaret River Juice Co

The Juice Co is a small space yet huge on friendliness and happy vibes. Their nourishing creations are made with genuine care and love. The Margaret River Juice Co specialises in raw foods and juices but they also serve amazing, nutrient dense macro bowls, soups in the cooler months and much, much more. You can order 1, 3 and 5 day juice cleanses or a raw food cleanse at extremely affordable prices – these are fantastic and it’s all done for you! You don’t even have to think, just enjoy the delicious program they’ve put together – too easy. I always love visiting this vibrant little eatery, look for it at the top of town in Margaret River.

Kona Joe’s Health Shack

What started as the worlds first mobile Cocowhip & acai bar, has now also expanded to a permanent eatery in Dunsborough. There’s a real blend of Hawaiin and South West vibes going on here, a reflection of sister owners true love for both regions. The menu is insanely good offering gluten free, dairy free, vegan and paleo friendly food with a focus on using as much local, pure, organic seasonal produce as possible. Fridays offer authentic Poke Bowls which a truly ah-mazing! Be warned their offerings are innovative and addictive, once you’ve tried it you’ll be back time and time again

The Good Egg

It’s attention to detail that often sets businesses apart and new kid on the block The Good Egg have absolutely nailed it. A vibrant eatery downstairs, and a funky work hub upstairs, the venue has the loyal following of many already. There’s everything to love about here – there’s friendly and efficient service even on the busiest days, plenty of ready-to-go meals and menu items with a side column for clean eating options, CocoWhip bowls, juices, smoothies and even a kids play area. Co-owners Deb and Amy have hearts of gold and the inspiration behind the business has driven them to donate 5% of all profits to Brain Cancer Research. Be sure to check this gem out.

The Urban Coffee House

An eclectic and welcoming café with a plentiful range of healthy options to suit. There is just so much to choose from and all of it is good! Cold cabinets bursting with fresh delicious salads, rolls to go, raw and nourishing gluten free cakes as well as made to order menu options and a drinks list to die for! I discovered for the first time here the Red Latte, a shot of 100% antioxidant rich, caffeine free rooibos topped with frothed milk of choice (there are loads of milk options too!). The staff are super lovely and it’s almost like hanging in your best friends lounge room. Relaxing and nourishing – it’s a winner.

Sidekick Café

Sidekick is most well known for it’s incredible 8 hour cold drip coffee, sure to get you cracking on your work if you are making the most of their free wifi! The ethos of this café is beautiful and so thoughtful. It prides itself on being eco, sustainable & local from the smallest way to the biggest, and is a member of Responsible Cafes. An ingredients book of every dish they create sits in easy reach of those that have dietary requirements and testament to their transparency and pride they take in how they source their real food, whole ingredients. There are plenty of gluten free options here, also extra points for the free of charge filtered sparkling and still water on tap!

The Plant Organic Cafe and Market

The Plant Organic Café & Market offers delicious, natural food that’s as good for your body as it is for the planet. Their raw dessert and smoothie bar offers a variety of raw vegan cheesecakes, superfood snacks and fresh cold pressed juices, all prepared on site by certified raw food chefs. The Plant showcases a vibrant menu of dishes to suit every dietary requirement, including vegan, gluten-free and raw – there’s sure to be something to tempt you!

Black Sheep Deli

This cafe is nestled in the heart of Cowaramup, a once blink-and-you-miss-it, sleepy town now bursting with vibrancy and eclectic cool. Black Sheep is a down to earth and welcoming eatery with friendly service and a focus on honest local and organic produce. Black Sheep Deli host an authentic Pho Bar every Tuesday and Friday which is a huge hit with locals and visitors alike. There’s something for everyone here – the raw ginger slice and turmeric lattes are divine, as well as fresh salads, healthful juices and smoothies and meals with integrity all made from scratch.

Peko Peko

Did somebody say sushi!? If you like sushi then you will LOVE Peko Peko in Dunsborough. You will find a really unique fusion style of sushi here, made with the best and freshest local veggies, fish and meats. All of their food is made from scratch in-house, from the teriyaki sauce right down to the sushi vinegar! It’s the real deal and it tastes like it. There are loads of vegetarian, vegan & gluten free options and the staff are really knowledgable about their food and what is in it. You will also find delicious smelling soups here in the chilly months – the Salmon & Pumpkin Miso is legendary amongst the locals.

Blue Ginger Fine Foods & Café

When the pantry to your cafe is the gourmet deli that is the other half of the shop you know you’re in for a good time! Blue Ginger Cafe is an eclectic and relaxed space dishing up rustic, hearty, healthy food. Having access to an endless supply of international and trending food ingredients from the delicatessan means you’ll find something on the menu for the gluten free, sugar free, vegan, vegetarian and paleo alike. White Elephant Beach Café
