Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop (5days) for professionals-Sydney 29/09/2021 9:00 am | End date not setup or same of start date 1:30 pm Share Give yourself the gift of Mindful Self-Compassion for a better personal and work life! “Compassion is the essence of Mindfulness and the bedrock of emotional healing”. Mindful Self-Compassion is an outstanding workshop! This program consists of didactic and experiential training exercises in mindfulness and self-compassion, to improve personal lives and professional skills. The aim is to learn the powerful practices of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion from inside out: that is by applying Mindful Self-Compassion in our lives, we can better use it in our professional work for more effective engagement and interventions. The applications of mindfulness and self-compassion are revolutionalising mental health. Mindfulness allows us to stand back, to see what is, to pause and choose again, to re-wire the brain. Self-Compassion is about being present with connection and warmth during times of pain and struggles. When we combine mindfulness and self-compassion, we transform how we relate to ourselves and our difficulties in a most profound way to facilitate change and healing. Mindful Self-Compassion is about learning to ease difficult emotions, care for others compassionately and be more fully ourselves in our roles. Rapidly expanding research shows that mindfulness and self-compassion are strongly associated with emotional well-being, lower levels of anxiety, depression, and pain as well as better healthy habits such as diet and exercise, more satisfying personal relationships and enhanced self-care. The research indicates that health professionals specifically benefit from interventions that increase their mindfulness and self-compassion because it strengthens their relationships with clients/patients, reduces the chances of empathetic distress fatigue and burnout and increase their resilience and well-being. In this workshop you will be presented evidence-based strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, pain, shame and other conditions but as well you will be introduced to micro self-care practices to present burnout. At the end of the workshop you will feel refreshed and revitalised. During the program you will be introduced to over 25 practical strategies and simple tools to promote emotional strength, resilience, flexibility, acceptance and positive motivation that you can practice in your daily life and teach your clients. Participation in this program has been extraordinary; thousands of health professionals, around the world have attended similar workshops since 2013. Mindful Self-Compassion was developed by Christopher K. Germer, leader in the integration of compassion and psychotherapy and Kristin Neff, pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion. In this one program, they have successfully integrated concepts and practices from Mindfulness(MBSR, MBCT, DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy(ACT), Compassionate mind training + Compassion-Focused Therapy(CFT) and Cognitive Therapy(CBT) as well as Positive Psychology. This 5-day program will enable you to: Practice mindfulness and self-compassion in daily life • Understand the science of self-compassion and well-being • Handle difficult emotions with greater ease, acceptance and resilience • Motivate yourself with understanding and kindness rather than harsh criticism • Transform challenging relationships, old and new • Manage compassion fatigue and burnout • Practice the art of savoring and self-appreciation • Teach simple mindfulness and self-compassion practices to clients, patients and students This program fulfils a prerequisite for becoming a Mindful Self-Compassion teacher.
