Perth’s Best Dog-Friendly Beaches and Nearby Healthy CafesFood, LifestyleBy Ella LiascosFebruary 11, 2022 Share The ideal place to let a furry friend off the lead without worrying about nearby highways, or keeping them close by, a dog-friendly beach is the place to free your dog and free your mind. They get to meet fellow dog friends, clamber the dunes and splash around while you enjoy your morning walk and a dip. We’ve added nearby dog-friendly café’s that we love, so you know there’s always a cup of coffee nearby. South Fremantle Dog Beach + Third Wheel South Fremantle With plenty of green grass for your pooch to run around on out the front, South Fremantle Dog Beach also supply little yellow bags for those necessary pit stops — so you know for sure it’s dog friendly. The Pickled Fig is right out front too and they welcome dogs in their outdoor area so you can enjoy breakfast or a coffee in their company. A little further up is Third Wheel Café, who love dogs so much that they have a Chihuahua in their logo and sell dog biscuits at the counter. Mosman-Leighton Beach + Il Lido Mosman Park It’s hard to think of a happier place in Perth than this dog friendly stretch of beach between Mosman and Leighton. Panting puppies frolic in the waves and play with other furry friends while you traverse up the coast for a morning walk or have a swim. Il Lido is conveniently located nearby, to supply the best cup of coffee within close range of the dog beach. Trigg Dog Beach + Yelo Trigg With plenty of parking and fewer crowds than Scarborough and Cottesloe, Trigg beach is a peaceful slice of dog heaven. It helps to go early and beat the wind. Nearby is Yelo café, with a beach facing porch and plenty of dog bowls for your furry, good-natured friend to hydrate with. Peasholm Dog Beach Scarborough Scarborough This one is best for lone adventurous-types that won’t mind the longer walk from the car park to the beach. The swell can pick up so be sure your pooch is confident in the water too. Aside from that, the beach is crystal clear and there’s shower facilities to de-sand the dog before hopping back in the car. Not far off is Health Freak Café on Esplanade, with outdoor tables and a protein-rich, healthy menu to fuel you for a big day ahead. North Coogee Dog Beach North Coogee With plenty of convenient parking, this dog beach feels secluded and expansive so there’s plenty of sand for the pooch to run free on. The brand new Beach Point is right nearby with casual outdoor dining and breakfast from 8am — they serve coffee, bagels and healthy breakfast.
